Tour Description

Follow Sanna Sanita from ancient Giza to the natural desert springs and palm covered oasis of Siwa to the enduring beauty of the Nubian Desert. This journey is dedicated to awakening the senses, deepening presence, and appreciating beauty in all its forms.

Visit the amazing Sphinx and Pyramids in Giza

Although not exclusively for women, this sacred journey is dedicated to the feminine essence, the mystery of the soul, and aims to bring you closer to yourself and what really matters in life. We honour the feminine as a principle, and experience it thriving through beauty, slow movements, soulful practices, a connection with our softer side, and delicious foods.

Throughout the journey, Sanna will be offering many different practices to deepen the experience and help you embrace the inner and outer changes you desire. We start from the outside and slowly but surely peel the layers so the deeper magic can be felt, sensed, smelled, and perceived until we melt and merge the outer with the inner. Macrocosmos with microcosmos. All the practices will create a vortex that you can source from — not only in Egypt, but through your own inner well of magnificence when you return home.

Egypt 2023
The Temple of Isis at Philae dedicated to the Goddess Isis

Our adventure starts in Giza where we will begin our journey back in time to ancient Egypt by exploring the Great Pyramids, and other ancient burial grounds and tombs. We then make the journey across the desert to the oasis of Siwa where we will spend three days exploring this palm-covered town. From relaxing trips into the desert to soak up some natural spring waters, to savouring tea as the sun sets over the vast desert sands, our time in Siwa is the perfect way to slow down and appreciate the pleasures of life.

Egypt 2023
Swim in the Salt Lakes of the Siwa Oasis

While in Siwa, we will have time to meet the locals, explore temples and hill-side burial grounds at the Mountain of the Dead, as well as wander through the market indulging in the local dates grown nearby. We then head to Aswan, where we will stay in a tranquil hotel on the nearby Nubian Island of Heissa which overlooks the Nile. Using a motor boat to get around, we will visit one of Egypt’s most scenic temples, the Philae Temple which sits on Aglike Island, as well as a camel ride to the Nubian Village.

Visit the temple complex of Philae on Aglike Island

We end our journey back in Giza with a powerful private entrance inside the Great Pyramid. At our Farewell Dinner together, we will reflect on the lessons of the journey, share memories with our newfound friends and practice gratitude for the experiences we have received.

Our Practices:

Our practices will vary depending on the day, the energy of the group, and the places we visit. The themes we will explore are below.

Soft feminine yoga and embodiment practices will help muscles and joints to soften, your face to relax, and your heart to soften from the inside. We leave structures, goals, and the linear behind to open to the wild, untamed, and unknown. The spontaneous, smooth, and mischievous. In other words, we use yogic techniques to peel the layers, soften the edges and come closer to home.

Neurotransformative Breathwork (NTB) releases stagnant energy and deepens consciousness. This unique breathwork, designed by Sanna, is highly rejuvenating, alkalizing, and regulating for the nervous system. It alters mood and brings a true sense of joy! In addition to the many benefits of breathwork, NTB aims specifically to teach the practitioner how to reprogram their nervous system and neurons in order to create a desired reality. This is a deep and profound practice that always provides benefits on the mat and can create magic if, in everyday life, the practitioner applies the secrets.

Egypt 2023

Sense activation aims to bring you deeper and closer to your true self. When exploring Egypt, you want to merge with the surroundings, and the more present you become, the more you will feel and experience. You will learn a variety of self-touch-based methods, that not only activate your senses but also provide a deeper connection in all your relationships and love life — thats a guarantee!

Dyads and Inquiry: when the mind is still and the senses awake, inquiry will support you in relating to the mystery around you. Perhaps even to the depth of direct experience of the here and now, one of the most fulfilling experiences of a human heart.

Vibrational toning: feel the body coming alive through simple mantra and toning. This regulates and rejuvenates from the inside out. Envision a fire in the desert, the sound of burning and cracking wood, the stars shining and the presence of the ancient history of the desert surrounding you as you let go with rhythm, sound, and the elements.

Upon arrival in Cairo, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to our home for the next three nights. Located on 40 acres of green gardens, and with outstanding views of the Pyramids, the Mena House, boasting modern, luxurious rooms decorated with handcrafted furniture, is the perfect place to rejuvenate.

You will have the rest of the day to relax at the hotel or explore at your leisure before connecting later this evening with your tour leader, local guide, and fellow pilgrims.

Meet for our practice to set the energy for the day.

Theme for today’s practice: Inviting the Mystery - activating the senses & deepening yourself through specific sensation practices & slow NTB breathwork,

After breakfast, we make our way to the Giza Plateau, one of the most significant archeological sites in the world and is home to the Great Pyramid, the temple complex and the Sphinx.

The Great Pyramid is the largest Pyramid in Egypt and is the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World still standing. It stands at 481-feet tall and holds a special significance for the number 5 with its top pointing directly to the middle constellation in Orion’s Belt. We will travel to the second and third pyramids by camel and then continue on to enjoy a delicious meal with a peaceful, breath-taking view of the pyramids at the 9 Pyramids Restaurant. Situated inside the Giza Plateau, we will have a chance to relax, unwind, and refuel together while admiring the Pyramids. Once we are ready, we will stop by the Sphinx monument, which is believed to be the protector of the Plateau and visit the famous temple complexes.

We will then take a short drive to the Great Egyptian Museum. Set to open in 2025, it is the largest archaeological museum in the world and home to many artefacts of ancient Egypt including the complete Tutankhamun collection. While there, you will be able to view some collections that have never been displayed before.

Egypt 2023

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will make the short drive to Saqqara, home to the magical Pyramid of Unas. The smallest pyramid at the plateau, the Pyramid of Unas is the first of its kind to hold funerary texts known as “the Pyramid Texts” which were used to aid the Pharaoh in the world of the Hereafter. Home to many tombs, temples and burial sites, Saqqara still provides Egyptologists with many discoveries from the ancient world.

After exploring the ancient burial grounds, we will enjoy lunch together before heading to Dahshur, located about 40 km south of Cairo. This necropolis is home to some of Egypt’s best preserved and oldest pyramids. Unlike Saqqara and Giza, the Dahshur Pyramids are unique as they offer a variety of different designs rather than purely the traditional step pyramids we are used to seeing.

Egypt 2023

After a hearty breakfast we embark on our interesting 9-hour journey from Giza to the Oasis of Siwa. A lunch box will be provided while on route, so you can sit back, enjoy the journey and the scenery of Egypt as we make our way to an oasis in the middle of the desert. After enjoying the last few days in busy Giza, Siwa is the perfect place to unwind and get a different look at Egyptian life, with an abundance of olive and palm trees, traditional mud houses connected with dirt roads often frequented by donkey-pulled carts and friendly locals.

Upon arrival in Siwa, we will check into our home for the next 3 nights, The Siwa Ghaliet Ecolodge and Spa. Situated near many of the great sites of Siwa, such as the Amon Temple, the Ecolodge combines modern comfort with the ancient histories of Egypt. A tranquil escape where you can connect with the beauty and peace of nature. The grounds are filled with palm trees and a pool, and the cozy, comfortable rooms boast excellent views and skylights so you can relax while enjoying the magnitude of the night sky.

There are peaceful areas of the hotel grounds, shaded by palm trees where we can work with Sanna on our practices. This evening, we join together for our practice, and a delicious, organic dinner at our ecolodge.

Theme for today’s practice: The Inner Journey! 5-Tibetans – getting into the body and activating the energy. Dyads – connect beyond the self and expand as consciousness

Egypt 2023

After breakfast at the hotel we will take our first glimpses of Siwa and explore the history and nature this oasis has to offer. Our first stop will be the Temple of Amun, built in 331 BCE during the time of Alexander the Great, who visited this temple when he was seeking confirmation that he was the son of Zeus. The temple is the largest in the region and hosts 45 different chambers and an altar made of red granite that is believed to have been carried across the desert for the purpose of constructing the altar.

Once we have explored this unique temple, we’ll make our way to Cleopatra’s Bath, a natural spring filled with clear water. While Siwa is home to many springs, this is by far the most popular, and guests are able to swim or bathe in the natural waters. Legend has it that Cleopatra herself bathed in this very spring on a visit to Siwa.

After relaxing at the Bath, we will make our way to the breathtaking Salt Lake. This is another of the springs located in the Siwa Oasis, and is one of the highlights of this region, as the crystal clear, salty waters make their home within the desert itself. Many people come to the Salt Lake to bathe, and because of the natural, clean water and the salt content, it is believed that these waters are healing for many conditions. While here, you’ll have the opportunity to bathe in the waters and relax while taking in the mesmerizing blue waters and surrounding desert.

We will head back to the hotel to refresh before making our way to Camp Khalid for a delicious, authentic dinner under the stars. The camp is in a peaceful, mountainside location and the grounds are filled with beautiful gardens, pools and desert style buildings.

Rise with the Sun for our morning practice with Sanna.

Theme for today’s practice: Into the Spirit - Awakening the senses through slow, sensual and connective NTB breathwork

We will then head out to explore the Mountain of the Dead. This prominent mountain located in the Northern end of Siwa looks like a honeycomb due to the mountain side being dotted with nearly 3,000 rock tombs containing ancient wall paintings. We will have time to explore these tombs and step back in time to the ancient past of Egypt. While making our way at a leisurely pace around these tombs, we will have time to admire and wonder at the mummies and art, both Egyptian and Greek. Ponder on the importance of life and contemplate the beauty that is everywhere at this peaceful location.

Afterwards we take a 4-wheel-drive Jeep through the awe-inspiring desert landscape before arriving at a second lake in the middle of the desert. Here you can unwind and relax while taking a dip in the natural, beautiful waters, or simply rest and appreciate the magnitude of the nature around us. We will spend the rest of the day here and savour tea together while we watch the sunset, taking in the changing colours of the desert at sundown.

We will then make our way back into the town to enjoy a traditional Siwa dinner at El Bab Enishal restaurant before returning to the hotel for the night.

Egypt 2023

After a nourishing breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way to Fitnas, another mesmerizing body of water in the middle of the desert. Here you’ll be able to swim, or sit amongst the palm trees and enjoy Bedouin tea or cool fruit juice.

Before leaving this desert oasis we will wander around the old city of Siwa and visit the local market. Here you’ll get the chance to meet the local vendors, walk amongst the colourful stores selling fruit and clothes and enjoy soaking up a local experience. As Siwa is the leading producer of dates and olive oil within Egypt, you’ll get the chance to purchase some of these local delicacies.

We will then make the 9-hour drive back to Cairo where we will check-in at our convenient and comfortable hotel near Cairo Airport.

(Overnight at Cairo Airport at the Le Meridian Airport Hotel or similar)

Egypt 2023

After breakfast, we will check out of the airport hotel and fly from Cairo to Aswan. Upon our arrival, we will be greeted at the airport and taken to a motor boat which will transport us to our home for the next 3 nights. Nestled on the old Nubian Island of Heissa, the Ben Ben is a tranquil eco-conscious hotel that looks out over the peaceful town of Aswan. Prioritizing the natural environment and using Nubian-style architecture, and with beautiful views of the Nile and the Philae Temple it is the ideal home base to explore the wonders of the surrounding area.

After checking in, we will be transported by motor boat the Temple of Kalabsha. The temple is the largest freestanding temple in Egyptian Niba and was dedicated to the Nubian god Mandaulis. It was originally located at Bab al-Kalabsha, approximately 50 km south of Aswan, but was dismantled by a West German team between 1961 and 1963 and re-erected in its present location. In 1979, it was made a UNESCO world heritage site. The temple, which is located overlooking a lake, boasts hieroglyphs and art work painted by Greek pharaohs paying homage to Ancient Egyptian deities.

You will then have the opportunity to stop for lunch [at own expense] before heading back to the hotel for our practices, and spend time integrating the experiences so far by sitting quietly in reflection or journaling.

Theme for today’s practice: Inviting the Gift that you are - Softening the edges, breathwork and dyads. Shaking to land after traveling

(Overnight in Aswan at the Ben Ben hotel or similar)

Egypt 2023

After enjoying a peaceful breakfast at the hotel, we will make the short journey to the Philae Temple. Sitting on Aglike Island, this temple complex was one of the remaining places where the ancient religions of the region remained after the arrival of Christianity and is thought to be one of the most picturesque temples in all of Egypt. The main highlight of the Temple complex is the Temple of Isis which sits at the edge of the water and is dedicated to the Goddess Isis. We will have the chance to wander around these temples enjoying some of the hieroglyphs and the intricately decorated pillars and walls.

This afternoon, we visit the Nubian Village and take a camel ride from one side of the island to the other. We will visit a local house and enjoy a cool drink where we can learn more about the Nubian culture.  Afterwards we can visit the local market, and also a school to learn a few words in the Nubian and Arabic languages before setting sail back to our wonderful hotel by sunset.

In the evening, relax and enjoy our beautiful surroundings.

Egypt 2023

In our session this morning, we start to orient outward as we prepare for the final part of our journey and return home. Speak from your deepest truth and show up for real. This is part of our integration and contemplation work, and we will also set our intention for coming home.

Theme for today’s practices: The Soulful Search - Contemplation, Meditation, “Essence Oriented Sharing” & soft body practices to integrate the journey; Soul Gazing

This afternoon you can choose to relax and rejuvenate at the hotel, or you can choose to go on additional tours around Aswan. We can arrange for you to visit the Noble’s tombs; nestled in the foothills, there are more than 400 tombs dating from the 6th dynasty to the Graeco-Roman period. These tombs are decorated with passages from the Book of the Dead and contain intricate wall art depicting the lives of these Nobel’s.

Alternatively you can take a tour to the Abu Simple temple to visit Ramses the Second’s Temple and his wife Queen Nefertari. Carved in the mountain on the bank of the Nile, the four statues of the Pharaoh look out over the town below. Due to shifting desert sands and changes in the Nile, the temple was hidden until 1813 when a Swiss explorer discovered it. Now visitors can wander around the temple enjoying the views as well as the decorated walls and columns.

(Overnight in Aswan at the Ben Ben hotel or similar)

Egypt 2023

Today after breakfast we will fly from Aswan back to Cairo. Upon arrival, we will be greeted at the airport and transferred back to the Mena House Hotel. Later this afternoon we’ll gather for our last practice together.

Theme for today’s practice: Celebrating the Treasure – final group sharing, journaling and crystalizing our time together

Later, around 5:00pm, prepare for one of the greatest experiences of your life - private visit inside the Great Pyramid, the prize of every initiate. With private access we ascend claustrophobic tunnels and follow in the footsteps of countless initiates and gods, up the Grand Gallery and into the Kings Chamber, completing our ascension (literally and metaphorically) with a guided meditation.

Tonight, we will gather for our Farewell Dinner. This is a time to enjoy each other’s company, share memories with our newfound friends, discuss our personal journey highlights, and give thanks for the remarkable blessings we’ve received on our own sacred journey.

(Overnight in Giza at Mena House Hotel or similar)
