Yoga Tours and Retreats
I
don't think I have ever been so excited about
announcing new journeys as I am today! The first journey
that I want to tell you about is being led by
Phil Cousineau, the author of my favorite book
on Pilgrimage, The Art of Pilgrimage and
his long-time friend Anthony Lawlor,
who's film The Living Temple,
takes audiences on a thrilling adventure through the
world's most sacred places. We will be travelling to the
country with the oldest continuously operating
pilgrimage system in the world - India.
We will visit the Sacred Sites of the Hindus, Sikhs,
Jains and Buddhists, and it will be a very special
privilege to witness the great annual bathing festival
Magh Mela at Allahabad, the meeting
place of India's three great rivers, the Ganga, Yamuna
and Saraswati, considered to be the holiest spot in all
of India.
Our
pilgrimage will be a journey through the Rasas,
the ancient Indian approach to savoring the flavors of
the soul as expressed in art, architecture, music, food,
and every other aspects of living. Phil Cousineau
and Anthony Lawlor will help you move deeply into
the pilgrimage experience, expanding your ability to
perceive the connections between the soul of India and
the soul that animates your life. This direct experience
of inner and outer soul will be our focus, allowing you
to integrate the riches of this culture into your own
life. The history and architectural style of the Taj
Mahal, for example, are less important than
experiencing this setting as an embodiment of one’s own
archetypal desire to dwell in a loving paradise. I can't

The next
journey I want to tell you about, is also to
India - the birthplace of Yoga &
Spirituality. We will start this journey, led
by passionate yoga instructor Michele Labelle,
in the Great Indian Thar Desert - the
evening livened up by campfire, mashaals, local
musicians and dancers. After exploring the magnificent
Forts and Palaces in Jodhpur & Jaipur, we will visit the
Taj Mahal at sunrise. Our journey continues to the
birthplace of Lord Krishna, and then onto "The
Gateway to the Gods" - Haridwar -
Hindus the world over flock here for a holy dip in the
Ganges to attain salvation from their sins of birth. We
will immerse ourselves in Aarti Ceremonies,
Spiritual Teachings and Yoga,
even spending two nights at a beautiful Ashram
lying on the holy banks of Mother Ganga. The last two
nights are an indulgent treat at the incredibly
luxurious Ananda in the Himalayas Spa
- swirled in the sacred mists of time and nestled in the

I
have recently become involved with a small group of
amazing women - Women of Vision of Passion
and we are planning a visionary retreat at Tigh-Na-Mara
Resort on Vancouver Island in November - stay tuned for
details! One of the women in our group is hosting an
incredible opportunity in the Vancouver area that I
thought I would mention. Body Centered
Transpersonal Healing Journey will take place
July 28-31, 2007 in Tsawwassen. There
are options for a 2 or 4 day retreat. This is an exciting
